40 Years of Zen

I attended 40 Years of Zen near Seattle, WA in February 2018.  This 5-day high tech brain hacking event at a comfortable country house was curated by impressive neuroscientists, psychologists, and support staff, including a full time Bulletproof chef!

Numerous state-of-the-art neurofeedback technologies were deployed as we learned to influence the composition and impact of our brain waves, thoughts and emotions.  A high staff-to-client ratio allowed each participant’s experience to be tailored to their priorities.  While the whole experience did feel “out there” and very self-indulgent I emerged with a renewed sense of purpose, with bolstered and persisting optimism, and with gratitude for such a unique and highly effective opportunity.

If To Do

“If to do were as easy as to know what were good to do, chapels had been churches and poor men’s cottages princes’ palaces.  It is a good divine that follows his own instructions.”

(Portia, Merchant of Venice, Act I, Sc. 2)
